Through
Pen and Ink on Wood, 2.5" x 20", 2025
"Through" looks at how ants move through narrow gaps. Even small openings are repeatedly entered and exited, as if the space itself invites movement rather than blocks it.
The work follows these moments of passage. Ants gather, disperse, and pass through areas that appear too tight or insignificant to matter. Their movement is persistent but unremarkable—nothing dramatic happens, yet the motion continues.
On the wood panel, traces collect around these points of entry. The surface records where movement concentrates, where bodies press through, and where paths briefly form before dissolving again.
"Through" stays close to this simple observation: moving through is not always about finding open space, but about continuing forward, even when the space is barely there.
