"52500 Temecula Rd #38, CA 92549" is based on a walking route repeatedly taken during the artist’s time at Idyllwild Arts Academy. Using Google Maps as a reference, the work translates a familiar path into a drawn image—one shaped not by efficiency or navigation, but by habit, repetition, and pause.

The route itself reflects daily movement: a path walked without destination, where attention shifts from arrival to duration. Within this larger circuit, certain locations held particular significance. The geographic coordinates of these favored spots were extracted and inscribed along the side of the panel, functioning as precise data points that coexist with a subjective, memory-based map.

By combining hand-drawn pathways with exact latitude and longitude, the work brings together two modes of mapping: one rooted in lived experience, the other in measurement and abstraction. The drawing does not aim to recreate the place accurately, but to register how space is remembered—flattened, emphasized, or softened through repetition.

Rather than presenting the map as a tool for orientation, "52500 Temecula Rd #38, CA 92549" treats walking as a way of holding time. The work frames movement as a quiet accumulation of moments, where personal memory and geographic specificity intersect without fully resolving into either.
